An Oklahoma Hoe Down! Oklahoma City is steeped in country and western culture. Just two miles from the active Oklahoma National Stockyards, the Oklahoma State Fair Park will be the site of tonight's event, which coincides with a cutting horse exhibition that you will have the opportunity to visit. Cutting horses are used to separate a single animal from a cattle herd. Funded through a hotel-motel tax passed by the voters of Oklahoma City in 2004, the Oklahoma State Fair Park facilities are world-class, and make Oklahoma City the "Horse Show Capital of the World." After Party at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art with Honorary Hosts Nadia Comaneci and Bart Conner The Museum is home to the most comprehensive collection of Dale Chihuly glass sculptures in the world, which will be open to you for a private viewing. You will also have the opportunity to tour the special exhibit "Sketch to Screen: The Art of Hollywood Costume Design" featuring some of the most famous costumes in film history, from "Ben Hur" to "Superman." Across the street from City Hall, the Museum opened in its present location a decade ago, following the renovation of what had been the abandoned Centre Theater. Your honorary hosts for the evening will be world-famous Olympic gymnasts Nadia Comaneci and Bart Conner. "Bart and Nadia" have been Oklahoma City cheerleaders for two decades now, and operate the Bart Conner Gymnastic Academy in the metro. Comaneci won five Olympic gold medals while competing for Romania, and was the first gymnast to ever receive a perfect 10 in an Olympic event. Conner, a product of the University of Oklahoma, won two Olympic gold medals. OKC Host Activities presented by Chesapeake Energy Corp.
