Chesapeake Boathouse at the Oklahoma River
The Oklahoma River is your passport to an afternoon of family fun! Get on the water in a kayak, take a bike on the trails, or paddle a dragon boat down the river. Interested in trying rowing? Hope in the flat-bottomed rowing trainer and learn the basics of this Olympic sport. You'll have access to paddleboats for an old-fashioned good time, or take a tour of the Oklahoma River on an Oklahoma River Cruiser. You can also to stroll on the new riverwalk as you see all the exciting developments in this area known as the Boathouse District.

Heart of the Chickasaw Nation
An engaging and entertaining world-class destination – the largest tribal cultural center in America – devoted to the hsharing and celebration of the Chickasaw Nation, their history and culture. The Chickasaw warrior statue will welcome you to a campus where the world can learn Chickasaw stories, traditions, crafts, artistry and language. This cultural touchstone consists of an exhibit center, an orientation theater, gallery, amphitheater, and a traditional village where native vegetation, indigenous stone and trails can be found.

Purchased by the Chickasaw Nation in 2000, Bedre Fine Chocolates has set the standard for quality gourmet chocolates. Bedre simply means “better” and the name says it all. If you've bought chocolates from Bloomingdales or Nieman Marcus, odds are you've eaten candies made by the Chickasaw Nation.

Experience the Natural Gas Revolution
Conference participants are invited to learn about the natural gas revolution during a tour of one of the nation's most exciting natural gas shale formations. Devon Energy is using advanced technology to produce natural gas from the area, known as the Cana Field. Natural gas produced from these shale formations is changing the nation's energy landscape.

The tour will begin with lunch at Cattlemen's Steakhouse, one of Oklahoma City's oldest and most prominent restaurants. Movie stars, rodeo greats, famous politicians and others have enjoyed this true western fare. After lunch, participants will hear about Oklahoma's energy history from Bob Blackburn, the state's most well-known historian. Once on site, participants will experience the innermost workings of a natural gas drill operation.

Hit the Bricks Walking Tour
Enjoy a guided walking tour of the sights, sounds and surprises downtown Oklahoma City has to offer! Begin the morning with a walk through Bricktown. For more than a century, the Land Run of 1889 has inspired artists and writers drawn to the universal themes of adventure, hope and diversity. Today, projects from MAPS – one of the most aggressive and successful public-private partnerships ever undertaken in the U.S. – such as the AT&T Bricktown Ballpark and the festive canal offer new inspiration for the creative spirit.

And along the way, take a peek at the Painted Door – an emporium where visitors will find an array of gifts perfect for giving . . . or keeping.

Enjoy lunch at Trattoria il Centro – Oklahoma's trendiest Italian kitchen.

Next, the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum was created to honor those who were killed, those who survived and those changed forever by the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. The Memorial and Musem are dedicated to educating visitors about the impact of violence, informing about events surrounding the bombing, and inspiring hope and healing through lessons learned by those affected.

End the tour with High Tea at the historic Skirvin Hilton Hotel.

Sketch to Screen
Take a walk through the history of costume design in 20th century American cinema, while examining the role of the costume designer within the film industry. SKETCH TO SCREEN: The Art of Hollywood Costume Design, is comprised of approximately 60 original costumes, illustrations and accessories. The exhibition will be a survey of costume design throughout the 20th century and segmented into 10 categories: Silent Era, Oscar Winners, Gone with the Wind, Femme Fatale, Women's Daywear, Musicals, Evening Gowns, Heads of State, Comic/Animation, and A Man's World. The Museum also offers a comprehensive collection of glass sculpture by Dale Chihuly. Dale Chihuly: The Collection, comprised of 18 vibrant installations, and the 55-ft-tall glass tower in the Museum's atrium were created specifically for the Museum.

  • Buses will be available to return attendees to the Cox Convention Center at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
